Nirmalya Composting Project

During major festivals, tonnes of floral offerings (nirmalya) are immersed in rivers, polluting local water bodies. Our club partnered with temples and local authorities to collect this waste and convert it into nutrient-rich compost.

Collection points were set up across the ward, volunteers sorted and processed the material, and the resulting compost was distributed to schools and community gardens.
